Dr Jade McEwen (she/her) is a pracademic and implementation scientist with nearly two decades of experience spanning human rights, disability policy, and public sector reform. A neurodivergent woman and intersectional feminist leader, she holds a PhD in Public Policy and Social Work and a Master of Disability Studies. Jade specialises in translating complex evidence into practical, rights-based policy and practice, with a strong focus on implementation, system reform, and improving outcomes in real-world settings. Her career has included leading significant legislative and policy reform and advancing supported decision-making frameworks that promote autonomy and inclusion.
Jade is deeply committed to ensuring that women and gender diverse people with disabilities are central to the design, delivery, and evaluation of the systems that shape their lives. Her work is grounded in co-design, evidence-informed practice, and a strong belief in the power of community connection to drive meaningful and sustainable change across Victoria.
