Women Deliver 2026 Scholarship Program
Women with Disabilities Victoria is pleased to announce that, with the support of the Victorian Government, we will be delivering scholarships for Victorian women and gender diverse people with disabilities to attend the Women Deliver 2026 conference in Melbourne, from April 27-29.
Women Deliver (WD2026) is an international event that is expected to bring more than 6,500 advocates, decision-makers, community leaders and grassroots activists from more than 170 countries to Melbourne. The event provides a space for feminist and youth leaders to come together, and strengthen collective action for gender equality, decolonisation and climate justice.
It is vital that the voices of women and gender diverse people with disabilities are included in this conversation. WDV is thrilled to be delivering these scholarships to ensure these voices are heard, and to strengthen disability and lived-experience leadership in the global gender equality movement.
The scholarships also provide a valuable professional development opportunity for women and gender diverse people with disabilities who are already working for gender and disability equity in the Victorian community.
The Scholarships
WDV will be delivering approximately 16 scholarships to women and gender diverse people with disabilities in Victoria who wish to attend WD2026. The scholarship funds will cover the full ticket price of the conference, and scholarship recipients can also apply to access an additional pool of funding for costs such as:
- Transport costs
- Accommodation
- Meal per diems at ATO rates
- Childcare
- Accessibility supports outside of those provided by the conference
WDV will also support successful applicants to navigate the WD2026 conference accessibility processes and program, to ensure you get the most out of the event.
Eligibility
All women and gender diverse people with disabilities living in Victoria are eligible to apply. We particularly welcome applications from women and gender diverse people with disabilities who experience intersecting barriers to participation, including Aboriginal women, culturally and racially marginalised women, people living in rural and regional Victoria, LGBTIQA+ people, and younger and older women.
