Membership

What does it mean to become a member of Women with Disabilities Victoria?

Members can contribute to Women with Disabilities Victoria in the following ways:

  • Become involved in one of our leadership programs designed to promote sharing leadership skills.
  • Sharing information with other women through our e-newsletter and email bulletins.
  • Representing women with disabilities on Boards, Committees and forums. These opportunities are circulated to members who have an interest in a particular field.
  • Contributing to government submissions, representations to government and organisations and presentation of conference papers.

Is there a cost to join?

Full membership

Full membership is available to women with disabilities in Victoria. Full membership is free.

Associate membership

Associate membership is open to individuals and/or organisations supportive of the aims of Women with Disabilities Victoria and enables exchange of knowledge, and participation with Women with Disabilities Victoria and its members.

Associate membership is $50 for individuals and $140 for organisations (this includes GST).

HUB LIAISON OFFICERS

WDV is excited to be working on the development of four local community leadership networks, known as 'hubs', for women with disabilities in rural areas.

We are recruiting 3 Hub Liaison Officers. One in Wellington (Gippsland) one in Moira (Goulburn) and one in Warnambool.

We are looking for women who identify as having a disability, with some experience of supporting other women with disabilities in their local community.

MENTOR COORDINATOR, Enabling Women Leadership Program – Wodonga and surrounds

Women with Disabilities Victoria (WDV) is looking for a woman from Wodonga or surrounding area, who identifies as having a disability to recruit and assist mentors with matching with participants who are taking part in the Enabling Women Community Leadership Program.

This is a paid, part time, fixed-term contract.
